Members of the Logistics Hall of Fame have made outstanding achievements in the further development of logistics and supply chain management beyond the boundaries of their own companies and have made a significant and lasting impact on the industry. This eternal pantheon is designed to remind future generations of logisticians of these individuals and what they achieved.
Prof. Dr. Dirk Engelhardt has accepted the invitation to the jury of the Logistics Hall of Fame.
The finalists for the World´s Logistics Hall of Fame selection have now been selected. Last Wednesday, Federal Transport Minister Andreas Scheuer invited the Logistics Hall of Fame Council to the ministry, where in a first ballot the committee nominated a total of seven personalities. Prior to this, 25 valid entries from Australia, Denmark, Germany, Finland, Great Britain, Serbia, Switzerland and the USA reached the hall.
Bernhard Mattes, President of the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA), Berlin, has accepted the invitation to the jury of the Logistics Hall of Fame.
Andreas Scheuer, Federal Minister of Transport and Digital Infrastructure, has assumed patronage of the Logistics Hall of Fame. In addition, as a member of the jury, he will future determine who will be inducted to the world´s pantheon of logistics.
The Logistics Hall of Fame® honours leading figures who have made outstanding efforts to promote the further development of logistics and supply chain management. In addition, ist aims to document outstanding achievements in logistics and to encourage and promote innovations. In this way, it raises public awareness for the performance capability and innovative drive of logistics, helping to underpin the competitiveness and improve the image of the entire logistics sector. Dr. Volker Wissing, Federal Minister for Digital and Transport, is the patron.
