TRATON joins the Logistics Hall of Fame

• Logistics Hall of Fame supporter circle continues to grow.

Ismaning near Munich, October 25, 2018. TRATON AG joined the Logistics Hall of Fame supporter circle. By doing so, one of the world ́s largest commercial vehicle manufacturers fosters the documentation of logistical milestones and wants to contribute to the networking and further development of transport and logistics. TRATON comprises the brands MAN, Scania, Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus and RIO.

TRATON AG, formerly Volkswagen Truck & Bus AG, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Volkswagen AG and a leading commercial vehicle manufacturer worldwide with its brands MAN, Scania, Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus, and RIO. In 2017, TRATON GROUP’s brands sold around 205,000 vehicles in total. Its offering comprises light-duty commercial vehicles, trucks, and buses which are produced at 31 sites in 17 countries. Background:

The Logistics Hall of Fame was founded in 2003 and honours leading figures who have made outstanding efforts to promote the further development of logistics and supply chain management. This eternal pantheon is also designed to remind future generations of the achievements of these individuals in the service of logistics. The aim of the Logistics Hall of Fame is to act as a worldwide platform to publicise the performance capability of logistics and its importance for society. The Logistics Hall of Fame is a non-profit initiative supported by the world of politics, associations, the logistics industry and logistics science. The patron is Andreas Scheuer, Federal Minister of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI) in Germany.
